Willie Joe “Jay” Crow – Obituary

Willie Joe “Jay” Crow, age 74, of Athens, passed away Saturday, Mar. 10, 2018, at Crestwood Hospital.

Mr. Crow was born Oct. 26, 1943 in Limestone County to Leonard T. Crow and Ellen Elizabeth Towe Crow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dexter Crow, of Prospect, Tennessee; one nephew, Todd Crow, of Athens; two brothers, Talmadge Crow, of Decatur and Bobby Crow, of Athens.

Survivors include his wife, Dottie Crow, of Prospect, Tennessee; three brothers, Eugene Crow and Randy Crow, both of Athens, Leonard Crow, of Hazel Green; three nieces, Christy (Justin) Towe, of Athens, Brenda (Donnie) Wallace, of Athens, and Michelle (Keith) Jadus, of Virginia; five nephews, Bradley Wallace, Travis Crow, Bryan Crow, Leonard (Tooter) Crow, and Jeremy Crow, all of Athens; one great-great- niece, Alexandra Towe; one great-great-nephew, Joshua Towe; and numerous great- nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Monday, Mar. 12, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Pastor Ed Keith officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1-2:15 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Motter, Brian Willis, Bill Stewart, Doug Workman, Bradley Wallace, and Justin Towe. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Towe.
