Grace Harrison Boggs – Obituary

Grace Harrison Boggs, 85 of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Her visitation will be Saturday, March 10th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Chuck Bradford and Bro. George Henley officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery, Shiloh, TN.

Grace was a native of Shiloh, TN. Before moving to Cherokee, She was a member of Pickwick United Methodist Church in Pickwick, Tn. Grace was a retired cook at Pickwick Landing State Park. She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church where she was a greeter and a Cooking Angel. Grace always had a hug and a smile for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Boggs; son, Mike Floyd; parents, Carl and Flora Harrison; her brothers, Robert, Gib (Aline), Sam (Jane), Bill (Nevada), and Eddie Harrison.

Grace is survived by her grandchildren, Amanda, Josh, and Chris Floyd; sister-in-law, Patricia Harrison; and brother-in-law, H.T. “Peck” Boggs.

Pallbearers are Larry Boggs, Josh Floyd, Benny Ingle, Lonnie Martin, Kenneth Thomason, and Curtis Wallace. Honorary Pallbearers are Freddy Bolton, Ronnie Goss, Franklin Posey, J.T. Harrison, Arnold Rickman, and Andre Taylor.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Andre Taylor, the staffs of Cottage of the Shoals, and Amedisys Hospice, J.T. and Mary Harrison, and her niece, Seena Harrison, for all the extra love and care they gave Grace.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cooking Angels of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, 2745 North Pike, Cherokee, AL 35616.
