Thomas Samuel Park, age 81, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Thomas was born to Thomas S. and Maudi Prosser Park in Pulaski, Tennessee on October 15, 1936. He married Janice Briggs Park on June 1, 1959, enjoying a fifty-six year union that ended with her passing away on June 8, 2013. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ and was a servant of his Lord, his family and education. He was an educator in Maury County for more than forty years and served the Maury County Board as an administrator. He received a commendation resolution from the State of Tennessee House of Representatives in honor of his exemplary service as an outstanding School Administrator and upon his receipt of the Katherine Wright Award.
Cherishing his memory are his son: Tim (Amy) Park and grandchildren: Trevor Park and Rachel Park. In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas S. Park and Maudi Prosser Park.
A memorial service for Mr. Park will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
