Nannette Franks Mize – Obituary

Nannette Franks Mize, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1933, to Ira and Mertie Turner Franks. She worked for Mantachie Manufacturing and Krueger Metal before retiring. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her garden.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Ronnie Hill and the Rev. Joe Coggins officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Butler (Jan) of Mantachie; two daughters, Judy Reynolds (Gayle “Mule”) of Mantachie and Brenda Wiygul (Al) of Tupelo; one step-son, Thomas Mize, Jr. (Lynn) of Saltillo; one sister, Sue Thompson (Dewey) of Mantachie; ten grandchildren, Kim Precise (Daniel), Amber Strong (Kyle), Lori Estes, Joy White (Jared), Jill Akers (Chaz), Megan Mize, Jeremy Wiygul (Cecillia), Jimmy Wiygul, Rachel Wiygul, and Tony Wiygul; ten great-grandchildren, Tony Funderburk, Alexis Funderburk, Jake Wiygul, Jordan Wiygul, Aidan Strong, Lana White, Ava White, Julietta Wiygul, Antonela Wiygul, and Clementina Wiygul; three great-great grandchildren, Harleigh Sartain, Cheyenne Funderburk, and Charlie Brooke Funderburk; a special niece, Martha Nash of Shannon and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mize; her parents; two brothers, Bumel Franks and Aubrey Franks; and eight sisters, Louise Williams, Pauline Murphy, Dorothy Thompson, Winnie Ruth Lofton, Mary Hendricks, Lillian Crook, Burnell Bailey, and Loraine Spigner.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Shiloh United Methodist Church Sanctuary Sunday School class.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home in Mantachie.
