ATHENS-In Athens, if you want to know the latest on a sick neighbor, you tune in to the morning Sick Call radio program on WKAC.
Since 1953, the program has informed our community of those who are sick as well as birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, and special events.
This week, Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks honored Corey Hudson and Jay Hudson, who currently do the Sick Call program, with a Key to the City and certificate of appreciation for being Classic. Southern. Characters.
For 65 years, the show has exemplified Athens is a community that cares.
