Suspect Jailed On Capital Murder In Decatur Double Homicide

DECATUR-Authorities report on Wednesday, February 28 two people are dead after a shooting  in Southwest Decatur.

Police said a concerned citizen called 911 about shots being fired around 2:08 PM.  After arriving police found two dead of gunshot wounds.  Decatur police identified the two people found murdered as David Gullatte, 32 and Sharonda Bouldin, 27.

Kendall Rashid Rucker, 22 has been charged with Capital Murder in the shootings.  According to authorities  Rucker is an acquaintance of the victims and this was not a random act.

It was discovered Rucker had been identified fleeing the residence moments after the gunshots. Rucker was located at another residence and taken into custody.

Bail has not been set and Rucker remains in custody.
