LIMESTONE COUNTY-A shooting on Monday evening, February 26 in East Limestone County put a 21-year-old man in the hospital with life threatening injuries and a 17-year-old in the Limestone County Jail facing Attempted Murder charges.
According to police authorities Kobe Keshon Peoples, 17 will be charged as an adult after the Monday night shooting.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call in the 16000 block of Wellhouse Drive at approximately 6:30 PM on Monday. The victim, a 21-year-old male was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital where he has been reported to be in critical condition.
After investigation it was determined that probable cause did exist to arrest Peoples on Attempted Murder charges. The shooting took place during a domestic dispute.
These charges are pending and could be upgraded depending on the survival of the victim.
