Lottie Mae Boutwell – Obituary

Funeral services for Lottie Mae Boutwell, 94, of Decatur will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the chapel of Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home, with Brother Bryan Blass and Brother Rob Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boutwell was born August 27, 1923 in Morgan County to Joseph Franklin Wilson and Ophelia Ethel Lee Wilson and passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Decatur. She was a retired registered dental hygienist for Dr. Felton Davenport. She was also a Past Worthy Matron from Mary Lou Dancy Chapter 320 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Central Baptist Church since 1960.

Mrs. Boutwell is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Franklin Wilson and Ophelia Ethel Lee Wilson; husband, James Gilbert Boutwell; son-in-law William Price Wright, Jr.; five sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Evelyne Boutwell Wright, of Decatur; grandsons William Gilbert Wright(Cindy), of Hartselle and William Price Wright, III(Ever), of Decatur; great-granddaughters, Natalie Grace Wright and Anna Kate Wright, of Hartselle, and Claire Marie Wright, of Decatur; great-grandson William Price Wright, IV, of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to a preferred charity may be made in her honor.
