Mr. Norman C. McCord, age 89, of Northridge Trace, Albertville, formerly of Boaz, Alabama died on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday noon until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. McCord was born in Alabama on September 16, 1928 to Samuel & Effie Bailey McCord. Mrs. McCord died early in his life and he was reared by his dad and step-mom Mary Ruth McCord. He was a retired wholesale auto dealer.
Mr. McCord is survived by his Daughter & Son-in-Law: Norma McCord & Chuck Wells of Albertville, Grandsons: Taylor Barham and Garrett Barham, Step-Grandchildren: Destin & Matthew Charles and Jonathon Wells, Brother: John McCord of Tennessee, Sisters: Sue DeWees of Tennessee and Amelia Couch of Wedowee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife: Juanita Rowe McCord, Sons: Danny McCord & Kevin McCord, Brothers: Jim McCord and Robert McCord and Sister: Sammi DuPont.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Barham, Garrett Barham, Van Ballentine, Mike DeWees, Jonathon Wells and Mark Plunkett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Dodd, Olin Hayes, Frank Lowery and Zadie Nell Amberson.
