Leo Jackson Tull, Sr. – Obituary

Leo Jackson Tull, Sr. was born November 7, 1923 in Bethel Springs, TN, the son of the late Noelion R. and Ruby Maxedon Tull. He was united in marriage to Quinice Lena Price on January 12, 1946. He was a member of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church in Bethel Springs, TN and was a Lay Leader in the church. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Army during WW II. Leo worked for Richards Jewelers between 1950’s though the 80’s before retiring. He served as Alderman and then two terms as Mayor of Selmer. Leo was a 50 plus year Mason, member of the Lions Club and was a Master Clockmaker and Watchmaker.

Mr. Tull departed this life on February 23, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 3 Months, 16 Days.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Quinice Lena Price Tull; two daughters-in-law, Judy Tull and Phyllis Tull; five grandchildren: Jamie Tull and wife Amber, Randy Tull and wife Alicia, Julie Tanner and husband Tony, Mandy Horton and husband D Ray, Brian Tull and wife Laura Beth; seven great grandchildren: Hannah Chambers, Kayla McMahan, Emma Tull, Eli Horton, Addie Tull, Alana Tull, Olive Tull; two great great grandchildren, Kendall and Ethan; host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tull was preceded in death by two sons, Leo Tull Jr. and Gary Tull; a grandchild, Tracey Tull; a grt-grandchild, Mattie Bell Horton; two sisters, Oleta Ingle and Betty Price; a brother, Richard “Dick” Tull.
