J.C. Boyett, age 71, formerly of Hamilton, Alabama but lived in Elk Ridge, Maryland for the last 35 years, died February 19, 2018, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmel Boyett, of Brunswick, Georgia, and Louise Lewis Boyett, of Adrian, Michigan, and by his grandmother, Rhoda Boyett, of Hamilton, Alabama.
He is survived by his brother, James Boyett (Mary), of Florence; stepmother, Jessie Boyett, of Brunswick, Georgia; sisters, Rhoda Miller (Russ) and Buanita Boyett (Artie), both of Brunswick, Georgia; and close friend, Justin Herron, of Elk Ridge. He is also survived by seven nieces and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
