Prathen Oxendine, 75, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at his residence in Russellville. A native of North Carolina, Mr. Oxendine retired in 2007 from Kelloggs after 30 years of service as an iron adjuster. He was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation with family and friends will be held today from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in East Franklin Cemetery, Phil Campbell, Alabama.
Surviving Mr. Oxendine are his children, Prathen Duane Oxendine and Candida Oxendine-Steward, and sisters, Lea Freemon, Margaret Revels, and Faye Dial. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.
Preceding Mr. Oxendine in death were his wife, Theresa Yvonne Oxendine, and his parents, James and Evie Lee Oxendine.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
