Deborah Ann “Debbie” Borden – Obituary

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Borden, age 64, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Debbie was a person who touched everyone’s heart that met her and will be missed by all who knew her. Many people called her mom and the word “Mom” meant a lot to her, it meant Love. When you count her children, she had many who considered her as “Mom”. She stepped up and showed love and kindness to strangers and many friends.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Isbell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the body lying in state one hour prior to the service. Bro. Truman Kimbrough will officiate the service. Burial will be in the adjourning church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joey Keith Borden; her parents, Hubert & Christine (Willis) Welborn; sister, Starr Boatwright; and niece, Mandy Holt.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Joe Borden; daughter, Tammy Berryman (husband, Chris); son, Mark Borden (wife, Jimmisue); grandchildren, Craig Berryman, Marisa Berryman, Heather Stephenson, Marcus Borden; great-grandchildren, Isabella Berryman, Brody Borden, Vivian Borden, Ansleigh Stephenson; siblings, Shelby Mitchell (husband, Cecil), Doug Welborn (wife, Judy), Ricky Welborn (wife, Tracy), Laine Tomas (husband, Tim); and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

The pallbearers will be Mark Borden, Chris Berryman, Kevin Tomas, Marcus Borden, Tyler Tomas, Dale Welborn, Jeff Welborn, Jim Willis, and Jackie Willis. The honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Borden and Craig Berryman.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
