Help “The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary “ reduce hunger  “ONE BOWL AT A TIME”

FLORENCE-The 15th Annual Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Empty Bowls Luncheon will take place Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 11-1 at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance from auxiliary members, from the Salvation Army Headquarters at 1601 Huntsville Rd., and at Trinity Ceramic Supply in Florence Industrial Park. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Your ticket lets you pick 4 cups of soup from over 60 participating restaurants to pair with homemade bread and water. You will also receive a handmade ceramic bowl or cross as you leave. The “empty bowl” you take home as a reminder that someone’s bowl is always empty. A “Heart and Hands Gourmet Bake Sale “ lets attendees complete their meals with a homemade dessert or take home some goodies for later. Thrift store models raise a lot of money for hunger as they model outfits found at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores.
100% of the money raised from the luncheon will be used to provide food for the hungry in the 3 counties served by The Salvation Army of the Shoals.
### ADDITIONALLY there is a Silent Auction with hundreds of items from local merchants and individuals. The money raised from the Silent Auction is used primarily to send at-risk area children to camp. It is also used for Salvation Army shelter needs and art and music programs for children provided at our local headquarters.
Can’t get away from work? We have an efficient in and out pickup for our hundreds of take-out orders.
Overflow parking at Veterans Park provides free shuttle service to the door.

JOIN HANDS WITH US AS WE FILL THE BOWLS OF THE LESS FORTUNATE BY ATTENDING “THE EMPTY BOWL LUNCHEON” Wednesday, March 14th, 11-1 at the Marriott Conference Center.
