ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on Wednesday, February 14 who has been charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child Under the Age of Twelve:
“Last night Sgt. Bret Constable arrested Santiago De La Cruz Ramos for sexual abuse of a child under the age of twelve.
Ramos is accused of inappropriately touching a six-year-old female. The incident took place on the night of February 10, 2018 or early in the morning on February 11, 2018. The incident took place in the 300 block of North Malone Street.
The victim and the suspect are not related.
Ramos was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
