Russellville and East Lawrence win Alabama Scholastic Challenge at NW-SCC

Russellville High School, Division I winner, 2018 Alabama Scholastic Challenge district competition.

PHIL CAMPBELL – Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) hosted the 2018 Alabama Scholastic Challenge district competition for 10 high schools in Division I and II Friday, February 9, 2018, on the Phil Campbell campus.

Russellville High School, Division I winner, and East Lawrence High School, Division II winner, will compete at the

East Lawrence High School, Division II winner, 2018 Alabama Scholastic Challenge district competition.

Division I and II State Tournaments on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Ala.

Division I schools that competed were Brooks High School, Florence High School, Lawrence County High School, Muscle Shoals High School, and Russellville High School. Division II schools that competed were Central High School, Deshler High School, East Lawrence High School, Haleyville High School, and Lexington High School.
Russellville High School team members were Cameron Vandiver, Jarrod Lasseter, Georgia Amick, Max Moussad and Coach Susan DeArman. East Lawrence High School team members were Diego Olea, Robert Marcum, Bryant Gillespie, Hunter Owens, Carter Cantrell, Gabe Carpenter and Coach C. Jay Vick.
