Linnie Mae Houston – Obituary

Linnie Mae Houston, age 57 of Cherokee, passed away on Monday, February 12th, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 14th, from 6p.m. until 9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 15th at 12p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Linnie is preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Terry Hamm; parents, Thomas and Audrey Cornelison; and sister, Brenda Kay Cornelison.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Michelle Hamm, Cherokee; fiancé, Robert Pounders, Cherokee; step-daughter, Jordan Michelle Pounders, Cherokee; sisters, Barbara Cornelison Coffaro (Nick), Chicago, Nita Cornelison Bailey (James), Tuscumbia, Wanda Cornelison Gortney (Jim), Tishomingo; 4 grandchildren, Kelsie Michelle Cosby, Misty Dawn Cosby, Rebecca Danielle Cosby, and Mason Alan Keller; nieces and nephews, Vince Coffaro and Nicky Coffaro, Chicago, Amy Lindsey, Tuscumbia, Kayla VanHorn, Matthew Borden, Killen, Kimberly Puckett, Corinth, and Angie Whitehurst, Corinth. Her special friends were, Ramona Parker, Cindy McBride, Tanya Bockus, Teresa Boyd, Lynn Michaels, Tasha Mims Michaels. She had a special love for Emily Rose Boyd.

Pallbearers are Corey Speegle, Trey Michaels, Anthony Michaels, Lee Cosbie, Shane Taylor, and Daniel Darling. Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Eddy, Tommy Pounders, Larry Pounders, Danny Foster, and Richard Foster.
