Irene Riley, 85, of Huntsville passed away Saturday. She was born in McNatt, Missouri. Irene dedicated her life to loving and serving her Lord. She was a loving wife to Grady for 60 years, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was passionate about learning, gardening and traveling. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister. Survivors include her husband, Grady; children, Sarita Bland and husband, Bill, of Cardiff by the Sea, CA; Michael Riley and wife, Montira of Birmingham; and Marty Riley of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Tus of Birmingham, Rebecca and Jacob Bland of Cardiff by the Sea, CA, and Kathlyn Lilly and husband, Ross of Redding, CA; and great-granddaughter, Harper, of Redding, CA.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 16 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes.
