Mr. Raymond Harold Vernon, 75, of Russellville passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Russellville Hospital. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Vernon spent most of his life in Franklin County, Alabama, and was a member of the Baptist church. He also served in the military. A retired funeral director, he was an employee of Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.
Mr. Vernon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Wilson Vernon; daughter, Dedra Vernon Rose and her husband, Ryan; and granddaughter, Ashley Rose, all of Russellville. He was preceded in death in 2001 by his mother, Lucille Poss Vernon, and by his daughter, Angela Vernon in 2007.
Private burial services were held Monday, February 12, 2018. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Littleville. Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.
