Truvinia Dockery – Obituary

 Truvinia Dockery, known to friends as “Beanie” and to her grandchildren and many others as “Mimi”, passed away Sunday at the age of 90. A native of Tuscaloosa, AL, Beanie graduated from Holt High School and attended the University of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul “Jack” Dockery; daughter, Vanessa Hyatt; mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Pritchett; sister, Eleanor Falls; and brother, Bud Pritchett. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Throneberry (Larry); grandchildren, Christi Henry (Todd), and Justin Paul Hyatt; and longtime friend and caregiver, Linda Campbell. Special thanks to the nurses at Azalea Lane for their loving care.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel with Chaplain Jim Koscheski officiating.  Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
