Martha Argend Lee died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Hamilton Pointe Retirement Village. Martha was ill for several years. She was 89 years of age.
Martha’s parents were Louis and Bess Argend of Decatur. Her parents preceded her in death as did her sister, Louise Jones; her sister, Marie Blackwell; and her brother, James Argend.
Martha is survived by two sons, Billy C. Farlow (Peggy) and John Louis Farlow (Amanda); two granddaughters, Becky, and Laura, her husband, W. Curtis Lee; two stepsons, Michael, and Mark (Maria); two stepgrandsons, Christopher, and Carson; nieces including Sissy Strickland, and Barbara Matas (Don); nephews including Andrew Jones (Cynthia), and Danny Jones (Sherrie); and numerous grand nephews and nieces.
Martha was a committed Christian and active in church life. She had a long career in management with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, continuing after her retirement for another 14 years on a consulting basis.
Martha’s funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is at 1:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
