Noveline Weeks, 83 of Double Springs passed away on February 10, 2018.

She was born on June 16, 1934 in Snead, Alabama. Noveline was a member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church.  She was a supervisor for Palmera Home for Women and she felt it was her most meaningful job because it allowed her to lead ladies and children to Christ.  She enjoyed reading the Bible and watching preaching on television and in her church; as well as watching Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke reruns with her son.  Noveline especially loved talking about Jesus to anyone she came into contact with.  Her late husband called her Schatzi which is German for sweetheart.  Noveline played guitar, sang and composed Christian songs.  She loved to witness to others, even total strangers.  She was a devoted wife and mother.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 4:00pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Arley. Brother Bill Frank Wilson and Brother James Hood will officiate.

She is survived by her son, Steve Weeks and his wife Debra; brothers, Glenell (Patsy) Laughlin; sisters, Lavada Bachelor and Janie Sue Chavies; grandchildren, Lindsay Weeks, Taylor Weeks, Gabe Weeks, Josh Weeks and Rick Weeks Jr.; several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Weeks; son, James Richard Weeks; parents, Luther Laughlin and Buna Wright Laughlin; siblings, David, Naomi, Robert, Ruby, Pat, Gene, Doyle and Bertie.

She had many close friends in the community and some of her longtime friends were so diligent in staying in touch with her during her illness including Linda Sides, Bill and Bonnie Wilson, and Joan and Wayne Hogan.
