Carolyn Yancey Moore, 73, of Lacey’s Spring, died Saturday February 10, 2018 at Redstone Village in Huntsville.
Ms. Moore was born October 14, 1944 in Morgan County to Huey M. Yancey and Cleo Wallace Yancey. She worked in the Morgan County School System until her retirement. She enjoyed working outdoors and volunteering at the Share House in Morgan City.
She was a member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
Ms. Moore is survived by her son and daughter: Dave Jones and Tammy Moore and her brother: Ken Yancey. She was preceded in death by her parents: Huey and Cleo Yancey; her brother: Alton Yancey; her sisters: Bobbie Edwards and Jean Criscoe.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brothers: Eldridge Criscoe and Robby Boyd, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery Lacey’s Spring with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday February 12, 2018 prior to the service.
