Rahni Carole (Russell) Meece – Obituary

Mrs. Rahni Carole (Russell) Meece, age 53, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Maury Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
Rahni was born May 31, 1964 in San Diego, California. She was the daughter of the late Shelby Frank and Judith Carole Swindle Russell. Rahni was employed by Lowe’s in Spring Hill and really loved her job, co-workers and customers. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading Stephen King and Dean Koontz books, cooking, watching the SyFy channel and spending time with her family and beloved dogs.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband and unconditional best friend of 23 years, Brian Ralph Meece; daughters: Judith Nichole (John) Bradley of Gallatin, TN, Margret Ryan (Mitchell) Cedillo of Columbia, TN and son, Donald Camden (Heidi) Gutowski of Phoenix, AZ. Rahni was also affectionately known as Nana by her grandchildren whom she adored; Shelby Allen Luna, Trinity Grace Luna, Jadyn Bayleigh Luna all of Cornersville, TN, Niccolas Camden Cedillo of Columbia, TN and Elizabeth Victoria Bradley of Gallatin, TN. Rahni is also survived by several siblings; Kim (Johnny) Boshers of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Kelly (Rick) Burger of Lewisburg, TN, Todd “Bubby” (Barbie) Russell of Pearl, MS, Andrea (Wesley) Griner of Nashville, GA, John (Jenny) Russell of Stafford, VA, and Tristan (Amanda) Russell of Lake City, FL., sister-in-law Leslie (Dino) Jobe of Austin, TX and two uncles, James P. (Elizabeth) Swindle of Columbia, TN. and Gary W. (Theresa) Swindle of Magnolia, Mississippi and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday February 11 from 4-8pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with family, friends and others whose lives Rahni touched. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 12:00 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Randy McNeece officiating.
The Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the faculty and staff in the ICU at Maury Regional for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.
Memorial donations may be made to The Maury County Animal Shelter.
