Ursula Mueller – Obituary

 Ursula Mueller passed away peacefully on February 7, 2018 in her apartment in South Huntsville, Alabama. She was born in 1922 in Berlin, Germany, and remained there as a young adult, working for Gyro Companies as a technical secretary. It was here that she met her future husband, Fritz Mueller. In 1959, she moved to Huntsville and married Fritz. Shortly thereafter she took brokerage classes in Atlanta, Georgia training to become a stock broker. In 1966 she was licensed as the first female stock broker in Madison County.

Ursula and Fritz enjoyed 42 wonderful years together. They travelled the Caribbean region extensively on many SCUBA diving trips, and enjoyed many pleasant days together at their lakeside home in Grant, Alabama. Ursula’s beloved Fritz passed away in 2001.

Ursula is survived by her step-daughter, Gabriella Demeritt of West Palm Beach, Florida; step-grandchildren, Laurie Demeritt of Seattle, Washington, Allison Demeritt of Palo Alto, California, and Kristin Demeritt of West Palm Beach, Florida. Ursula is also survived by her cousin, Heidi Kantwerk and Heidi’s daughter, Helen, both of whom live in Schulzendorf, Germany.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Monte Sano United Methodist Church with Pastor John Mullaney officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemeter
