Lena M. Warrior – Obituary

Dr. Lena M. Warrior was born June 4, 1956 in Gates, Tennessee to Ella Hennings and the late Lonnie Tapplar. She peacefully entered into eternity on February 6, 2018 at her home in Decatur. She was a beacon of hope, inspiration, and a light to all she came in contact with, throughout the country.

Dr. Warrior was an ordained minister and the First Lady of Progressive Christian Outreach Ministry, Inc, where she served faithfully until her death. She was retired from General Motors.

She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, the Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Warrior; daughters, Richelle Graves, Annetrica Warrior and Sylvia Parker, all of Decatur, and Angela Warrior of Jacksonville, Florida; sons, Arthur T. Warrior of Decatur and Cedrick White of Athens; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; her mother, Ella Hennings of Ripley, Tennessee; six sisters; three brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

A Celebration Life will be noon Saturday, February 10, 2018 at United Pentecostal Jubilee House of Prayer (2110 State Avenue SW, Decatur). Inhumation will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral with Reynold Funeral Home directing.
