Fred Cluxton age 82 of Decatur, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. Mr. Cluxton was born February 25, 1935 in Limestone County, AL to George Alton Cluxton and Alma Jane Haggermaker Cluxton.
Services will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 10:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Derek Sherrill officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.
Preceded in death by two children, Teresa Newman and Ronald Cluxton; two brothers, Ralph Cluxton and Alvin Cluxton; one sister, Clara Wiley.
Survived by three daughters, Judy Terry and husband, Anthony of Trinity, AL, Debbie Ortiz of Louisville, KY and Karen Hammon and significant other, Lavearl of Hillsboro, AL; four sons, Robert Cluxton and wife, Janice of Piedmont, SC, Jerry Cluxton and wife, Cindy of Arab, AL, Tommy Cluxton and wife, Peggy of Moulton, AL and Freddy Cluxton and wife, Reba Darlene of Decatur, AL; host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six step-children; three sisters, Alice Tidwell of Addison, AL, Susan Rix of Vinemont, AL and Barbara Pepper of Arab, AL; three brothers, Paul Cluxton of Arab, William Cluxton of CA and Richard Cluxton of Arab.
Pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Jason Smith, Adrian Ortiz, Eddie Miller, Lavearl Rutherford and Jason Cluxton.
