Hartselle Woman Indicted On Child Abuse Charges

HARTSELLE-ON Tuesday, February 6 the Hartselle Police Department released a statement concerning the indictment of a suspect in a child abuse case from August of 2017

“On 8/14/2017, Hartselle PD received a report of child abuse involving a 6-year-old boy. The child appeared to be malnourished and was ultimately hospitalized for treatment.

was determined Erein Szymborski, the child’s step-mother, was the primary caregiver. Szymborski denied all allegations of abuse. Inv. Burgess submitted the case to the Morgan County Grand Jury

. An indictment warrant was issued for Szymborski for the charge of Child Abuse. On 2/6/18, Burgess and Reynolds arrested Szymborski. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail with a $15,000.00 bond.”
