Graveside services for Ms. Elma Kathryn Phelps Sweatt, age 86, are scheduled for 12 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Lexington Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Sweatt passed away on Wednesday in Lexington. She was born July 29, 1931 in Henderson County to the late Bob and Phyllis Harmon Phelps. She was a retired garment worker and a member of the Church of Christ. Ms. Sweatt was preceded in death by 1 brother; 5 sisters; and 2 stepsons. Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Phelps, Gail (Billy) Greer, and Gwendolyn Pincham; two sisters, Cornelia Greer and Bernice Greer; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to send a special thanks to a dear family friend, Howard Durham.
