Rosa Darlene Tompkins, age 64, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, February 01, 2018 at her residence.
Darlene was a loving and caring wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and was kind hearted towards everyone she met.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 04, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 Monday, February 05, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Lumpkin. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Colburn Sr. & Rosie Justice Colburn; and brother, Roy Colburn, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 28 years, Danny Tompkins; children, Melinda Howard, Angie Mitchell, Ray Benstine (wife, Tammy), Earl Benstine (wife, Tammy), Gerald Benstine; step-son, Dennis Tompkins; grandchildren, Ashley Parrish, Brandy Miller, Dillan Mitchell, Amber Graham, Caitlin Benstine, Jared Howard, Jasmine Benstine, Austin Benstine, and Shosonee Benstine; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Colburn (wife, Linda); sister-in-law, Gail Colburn; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Teddy Howard, Matthew Parrish, Dillan Mitchell, Ethan Hunter, and Earl Benstine.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of North Alabama, Dr. McAnnally and Dr. Morrow for your love and care of our family.
