Muscle Shoals, AL – If only walls could talk and tell about the many Boilermakers Union meetings that were conducted in this now re-purposed building. If only walls could talk and tell about the many union votes that were taken that affected the multitude of workers that walked through the doors. If only walls could talk and tell of the many Shoals area workers who through their hard work, strong family ties and determined work ethics helped make the The Shoals one of the best places to live and do business in the state. If only walls could talk………………………

With an eye to the past and always looking to the future, Dr. Barry Basden and Dr. Chad Brewer took the historic union hall and converted it to a “State of the Art” vision care center. When savvy small business owners like Dr. Barry Basden, take spaces such as these and add form and function, the result is beyond the reach of boxy business spaces in run of the mill strip malls. Using a mixture of rustic details and bright modern colors, they have created a truly magnificent office space.

Recently the official Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held at the new Muscle Shoals Eye Center. In attendance was Dr. Basden and Dr. Brewer, the dedicated staff members of the Eye Center practices and members of the Chamber. After the Ribbon Cutting ceremony, the Eye Center hosted a Chamber of Commerce After Hours event. Refreshments were prepared and served by Office Manager Heather Davis and the staff. Everyone was appreciative of their efforts, andhad high praise for all the wonderful goodies.

The new Muscle Shoals Eye Center is conveniently located at 1112 Avalon Ave., at the intersection of Avalon and Harding, right down the street from Muscle Shoals High School. You can contact them for an appointment at 256.246.2965.
