James Allen Wier 68, of Hartselle passed away Thursday February 1, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born on March 2, 1947 in Birmingham to Ben and Lena Mae Wier. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Weir retired from Ryder Truck Rentals, and he was a member of the National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Wier, a daughter, Lisa Wallace and her husband Ledell, also two grandchildren Morgan and Megan James. No services are planned at this time. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
