Toshie Miyake, age 74 of Franklin, TN passed away January 30, 2018. Born in Tokyo, Japan to the late Masamichi & Mimiko Dazai. She was a violinist and a well-known violin teacher in the Green Hills area. Toshie was a member of Crossroads of the Nations Church and formerly attended Emanuel Baptist Church where she still volunteered. Survived by son, Harry (Candy) Miyake; daughters, Yuri Miyake and Izumi (Jonathan Ota) Miyake; brother, Masaaki (Mitsuko) Dazai; grandchildren, Courtney & Caroline Miyake and Zilin & Kino Ota and beloved dog, Taro. Celebration of Life will be 6:00PM Monday, February 5, 2018 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Stephen Young officiating.
