Ola Geneva Puckett 94, of Elkmont, AL died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Born Saturday, March 03, 1923 in Ardmore, TN, she was the daughter of Allie Dee and Nancy Elizabeth Swanner Sanderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mildred Clem and Sandy Story, brothers, Weldon Sanderson and Lewis Sanderson, sister-in-law’s, Opal Sanderson and Joyce Sanderson.
Ms. Puckett loved her family and also her dogs. She was a strong willed and high spirited lady that could drive the hell out of a car. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed Halloween and loved to dress up for the occassion. She also had a good arm for spanking the kids!
She is survived by sons, Bradley (Gail) Puckett, Elkmont, AL and Bradford Puckett, Elkmont, AL, daughters, Ruth (Sam) Maki, Madison, AL and Darlene (Johnny) Purser, Elkmont, AL. brother, Glen Sanderson, Ardmore, TN, granddaughters, Ginger Calaway, Toney, AL, Christy Swanner, Elkmont, AL, Kim Kilgore, Elkmont, AL, grandson, Cameron Puckett, Elkmont, AL, great grandchildren, Alston George, Elkmont, AL, Addison Kilgore, Elkmont, AL, Hayden Calaway, Toney, AL, and Justin Calaway, Toney, AL, and her dog, Buddy.
A Public Visitation will be held on Friday, February 02, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dale Mitchell and Bro. Brent Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL
