Antonio Shalamar Jacobs
ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson announces a suspect has been arrested in the shooting that took place on Tuesday night, January 30:
“Investigators have been working thru the day and evening on the murder case from last night. Lt. Chris Slaton has just charged Antonio Shalamar Jacobs with capital murder.
Jacobs is 36 and lives a 15275 Cannon Road in Elkmont, Al. Jacobs is currently being booked at the police department and will be transferred to the county jail later this evening.
This evening, Wednesday, January 31 our investigation continues in this case. Investigators will be continuing to talk with anyone involved and following up on all the information we have received.
