Lucille Magers Tramel – Obituary

Lucille Magers Tramel, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center in Tupelo. She was born March 30, 1927, to William Audie and Carrie Brown Magers. She was retired from Mantachie Manufacturing and was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, flowers, and her pet cockatiel Baby.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Greg Jones and Elder Steve Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include a stepson, Ricky Tramel; a sister-in-law, Frances Magers; three nephews, Jerry Weaver (Bobbie), Steve Weaver (Rhonda), and Charles Dale Parham (Mary); three nieces, Cheryl Owens (John), Barbara Criddle (Clark), and Anita Stanford (Steve); six great-nephews; and five great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.K. “Buddy” Tramel; her parents; two brothers, Luther Magers and Lester Magers; two sisters, Luna Weaver and Lila Parham; one nephew, David Magers; and one great-niece, Angela Summers.

Pallbearers will be Michael Parham, Charles Owens, Steve Stanford, Matthew Magers, Shane Stanford, and Matt Yielding.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home in Mantachie.

The family wishes to extend a word of appreciation to the Sanctuary Hospice staff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church.
