James Patrick Veo, Jr. was born in Savannah, Tennessee on February 19, 1996, the son of Vickey Lynn Collum Veo and the late James Patrick Veo, Sr. He departed this life on January 14, 2018, at the age of 21 years, 10 months, and 26 days.
James graduated high school in 2014 and received a Certificate of Award for Outstanding Achievement in Animal Science Production and for Outstanding Achievement in Carpentry. He worked at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel and loved his job there. He recently had a conversation with his cousin, Chuck, about how much he enjoyed working as a cook. James loved to hunt, fish, play games on Xbox with his friends, and cut-up with his co-workers and loved ones.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by his sister, Margaret Grace Roach; aunts and uncles, Lisa R. Murphy, Angela Denton, Glenda Sylvester, John Sylvester, Debbie Collum, Glen Collum, Jr., Darryl Collum, Ronald L. Collum, Jeopardy Collum, and Kenny Howell; cousins, Jeremy W. Murphy, Chuck Tucker, Amy Melson, Jennifer Flores, Christopher Collum, Drew Howell, Meagen Howell, Hayden Collum, and Bryson Collum; nieces, Ashlyn Grace O’dell and Adrihana Marie Roach; Godparents, Timothy Rickman and Jan Rickman; grandfather, Walter Veo; and grandmother, Gracie Denton.
Along with his father, James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret (Peggy) Bisson Elsbree; grandfather, Glen Collum, Sr.; great grandparents, Doss E. Collum, Flaudy B. Collum, Walter Veo, and Annie Veo; and a great uncle, David C. Veo, Sr.
