M.L. LaBorde, Jr. age 71 passed away January 22, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born January 18, 1947 in Winnsboro, LA the son of the late M.L. LaBorde, Sr. and Joyce Margaret Day LaBorde Reece. He grew up in Crowville, LA and graduated from Crowville High School in 1965. He served in the Air Force in Vietnam 1968 until 1970. He began working in construction which took him to work in Big Timber, Montana where he met Robin Harper. They married December 6, 1976 and made their home in Louisiana for several years. They moved to Jackson, TN in 1988 when he began working for S.M. Lawrence Construction, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren. He loved dogs and leaves behind his dog “Rocky”. He was Baptist in faith.
Mr. La Borde is survived by his wife, Robin Tina Harper LaBorde of Henderson; three daughters, Robbi Kitchen of Hendersonville, TN, Jamie Kesler (Sam) of Henderson and Jennifer Yelverton (Brandon) of Henderson; grandchildren, Tyler Kitchen (Alajandra), Leah Kitchen, Kyle Kesler, Samuel Kesler, Jr., Hailey Kesler, Jaylyn Yelverton, Hannah Yelverton, Lylah Yelverton, Brylee Yelverton and Mason Yelverton and one great grandchild, Eva Kitchen and a brother, Mike LaBorde of Yazoo City, MS.
Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ken Kitchen officiating.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday.
