Lonnie Edward Daniels – Obituary

Lonnie Edward Daniels of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away January 20, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Lonnie was born July 14, 1940 to the late Paul and Barbara Daniels. He graduated from Haylong High and attended Tennessee Technological University. He was married to his loving wife Loreita for 57 years, together they had two sons Shaw Daniels and the late Jeff Daniels. Lonnie loved his family, although, his pride and joy were his grandchildren. He also had a special friend, his dog Tebow. He was a kind and giving person not only with his family and friends but within his community as well. He was a Member of the Jaycees, Mt. Pleasant Lion’s Club, Mount Pleasant Athletic Boosters and the Maury County Gun Club. He loved the outdoors; he enjoyed going to the river, camping, hunting and fishing. Lonnie also loved sports, his favorite team being the Tennessee Vols.
Lonnie is survived by his Wife: Loreita Daniels; His Son: Shaw (Tracy) Daniels; Grandchildren: Kathryn (John) Sadler and Will (Erin) Daniels; Sisters: Diann Crews, Judy Trevathan and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Lonnie was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Daniels.
The Daniels family will visit with friends on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A Service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Reverend Thomas Vann and Jimmy Rochelle officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Vern White, Ricky Massey, Kyle Thomas, Jim Bailey, Tommy Colvert, Sodie England, Terry Williams and Gwynn Savage. Honorary Pallbearers include members of the Mount Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church as well as members of the Maury County Gun Club as well as close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lonnie’s honor to the Mount Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Avalon Hospice.
