Howard Beety Epperly – Obituary

Mr. Howard Beety Epperly, 81, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at North MS Medical Center, Hospice unit following an extended illness. He was born March 19, 1936 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was a high school graduate and continued to study in college before serving in the U.S. Air Force, serving overseas. He worked as an accountant for Tennessee Forge and Steel and then as a salesman for Independent Life Insurance Co. for Perry Mason. He married Sylvia Suttle on Nov. 17, 1988. He enjoyed traveling, watching television, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 19, 2018 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Chris DeGeorge officiating. Private burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 12 noon to service time. Condolences may be e-mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sylvia Suttle Epperly of Tupelo; his son, Mark H. Epperly of Olive Branch, TN and daughter, Jennie Epperly Cleveland of Fulton; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Fowler, Rebecca Cleveland, Elizabeth Cleveland, Rachel Cleveland, Brandon Epperly, and Daniel Epperly; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan Fowler, Stella Epperly, and Nolan Epperly. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; stepfather, Ace Epperly and stepmother, Nell Epperly; son-in-law; Tony Cleveland.
