Bobby Ray “Hard Times” Smith – Obituary

Bobby Ray “Hard Times” Smith, 60, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at his home. He was born August 22, 1957, to Luther C. and Zener J. Holt Smith. He was a truck driver, known by the handle “Hard Times,” most all his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Shaun Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery

He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith; two sons, Bobby Ray Smith, Jr. (Jordan) of Mooreville and Dusty Luther Smith (fiancee Hannah) of New Albany; three grandchildren, Callie, Allison, and Maggie Mae Smith; two brothers, Floyd Smith and Jimmy Lee Smith; two sisters, Betty Harris and Janet Underwood; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Smith.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
