Patricia ‘Pat’ Ann Hall Campbell, a native Huntsvillian, passed away Tuesday at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her father Clyde William Hall, mother Elsie Lorene Long Hall, brothers Billy Hall and Clyde Hall. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Terry Gene “TJ” Campbell; son, Terry Gene Campbell, II (Angel) of Aldie, VA; daughters, Robyn Campbell Atwater (Ralph) of Huntsville, and Laura Green (Greg) of Birmingham, AL; sister, Linda Alban (Ed); brothers, Kenneth Hall, Jimmy Hall (Cindy) and Shelby “Pete” Hall (Linda); sister-in-law, Glenda Hall; granddaughters, Taylor Madison Campbell (University of Texas-Austin) and Reagan Ashlyn Atwater (University of Alabama); and grandsons, Ralph Willis Atwater, VI (University of Alabama), Terry “Trey” Gene Campbell, III (University of North Carolina-Asheville) and Jackson Pace Campbell (Mercer Middle School). Pat was especially proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than to just be around and watch them grow up.

A 1962 graduate of Butler High School, Pat worked in the Huntsville space programs for Brown Engineering and Spacecraft, Inc. Over the course of her work-life she managed the downtown Belk store to its closure. She thoroughly enjoyed many years of serving as a teller for AmSouth, Colonial and SouthBank, often sacrificing efficiency for a good conversation. Pat was active in the community serving as PTA President, Mountain Gap Middle School Basketball Booster Club President, Republican Women of Madison County (although she loved John F. Kennedy) and served on the building Committee of Willowbrook Baptist Church. Pat was a devoted college football fan (Bama), loved Guntersville Lake, her many friends at the Sebold & Honeycomb campgrounds, and loved to host the party.

The family would like to especially thank CCI and Huntsville Hospital’s stroke unit for showing true love and compassion to us and Pat during her brief illness. We also thank Dr. Jeremy Hon for his gracious service to our family.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel with Pastor John Dees and the Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Russel Hill Cancer Foundation (https://russelhill.org/donate/). Also, in memory of Pat, go out and enjoy a hot Krispy Kreme donut!
