Wales Talmage Rowe, Jr., better known as Buddy, passed away from this life at his home on January 13, 2018. He was surrounded by his family and dedicated caregivers Alice and Lucille. Buddy was born September 15, 1949, in Athens, to Jewel and Wales Rowe.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with the service following at 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Russ Daly officiating. Burial will be in Cambridge Cemetery, on Cambridge Lane in Athens, AL.
Buddy was a lifelong resident and farmer in Limestone County. He lived his life doing what he loved, working with his hands, helping his neighbors, and making a better life for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wales T. Rowe, Sr. and his mother, Jewel White Rowe, and his wife of 43 years, Sue Johnson Rowe.
He is survived by three children, sons, Wales Rowe III, Keith Rowe and wife Autumn, and daughter, Katie Rowe; one grandchild, who he cherished, Tristan Rowe; sister, Candy Bailey and husband, Joe Don, and Denise Pressnell.
Pallbearers will be Adam Barnett, Jay Daly, Morgan Ellis, Luke Johnson, Billy Long, John Newby, Jackie Perry Jr. and Bussy Smith.
