Jimmy Dale Yarbrough – Obituary

Jimmy Dale Yarbrough of Sheffield passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the age 70. His visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dustin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Jimmy was a native of Red Bay and a long-time resident of Sheffield. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Senior Operator from TVA and was a member of the Cox Boulevard Church of Christ. Jimmy was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and an avid golfer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Yarbrough; daughters, Susan Lewis (Kevin) and Misty Hall (Rob); sisters, JoAnn Smith (Willie), Deloris Carter (Gene) and Rita Daniel (Marcus); 4 grandchildren, Andy, Abby, Cody and Alli; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Loralee.

Pallbearers will be Andy Thorn, Cody Berryman, Ottis Boyd, Steve Smith, Cody Howard, and Tommy Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Hall, Kevin Lewis, Bill Hallman, Harold Wayne Donaldson, George Reynolds, Richard Brackin, Matt McNatt, Marcus Daniel, Richie Brackin, and Bill Outlaw.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
