Wanda Springer Gilmore – Obituary

Wanda Springer Gilmore age 78 of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Visitation will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, from 10:30 A.M. until Noon. Memorial services to follow in the church at Noon with Brother Jim Warren officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bobby” Charles Gilmore Sr. Her parents Frank and Beatrice Springer. And two sisters; Edna Ruth Evans and Mary Faye Ousley.

Wanda is survived by one son, Chuck Gilmore (Marquitta). Two daughters, Cheri Gilmore and Deena Gilmore. Four grandchildren, Dustin Heisler, Ben Machtolff, Wil Gilmore (Alison), Robby Gilmore (Karen) and a soon to be born great-grandson, Liam Robert Gilmore.
Mrs. Gilmore was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She loved music and was a teacher of the art and many learned to play the piano and organ under her guidance. She played organ for Highland Baptist as well as other churches. Wanda started teaching piano and organ when she was 15 years old and along the way touched many lives with special moments and talents.
