Sue Qualls Tucker – Obituary

Sue Qualls Tucker was born April 22, 1934 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Isaac Edward Qualls and Marwillie Gravett Qualls. Sue departed this life on January 10, 2018 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 19 days.

Sue married Lowell Grady Tucker, on April 4, 1953. They were married 61 years when he preceded her in death on September 7, 2014.

She was a hair dresser, working in several beauty salons before she retired. She loved to crochet and sew. On of her greatest loves was to play the piano. She taught music lessons at a young age. She was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Savannah since she was twelve years old. She loved to sing and play the piano in church. Sue loved God first, and she loved her grandchildren and her three great-grandsons dearly.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Tucker Ray and husband, Ben Ray of Savannah. Two granddaughters, Myshelle Ray of Savannah, and Shauna East and husband, Jordan East of Corinth, Mississippi. Three great-grandsons, Jacob Milam, Benjamin Milam, and Levi East, all of Corinth.

In addition to her parents and husband, Grady, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jo Huebsch and Mary Edna Qualls, and one brother, Otis Clarence Qualls, all of Savannah.
