Jason Roy Bates, 29, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama passed away on January 05, 2018. He was a member of the Church of Christ. While a student at UNA, he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the ROTC. He was also a member of Diveheart organization. He served our country in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant with a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Bates, Sr. and Pauline Bates, and Roy and Geraldine “Dean” Lindsey.
Survivors include his parents, Tommy L. Bates and Joyce L. Bates of Muscle Shoals and sister, Sara E. Bates of Florence.
