Mrs. Rebecca (Beckie) Kilpatrick Becton, age 84, passed away on January 10th in Huntsville, Alabama surrounded by her family and Lord.
Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 Saturday, January 13th at Spry Funeral Home on North Parkway in Huntsville. Funeral services at 12:00 noon will follow at Spry Funeral Home with Reverend Trav Wilson of Madison United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
Beckie was born in Mississippi to the late Roger and Bessie Pollard Kilpatrick. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Johnnie Becton, and three daughters: Juanita and her husband Johnny Lamb of Madison, Mildred and her husband William Roberts of North Carolina, and Susie and her husband Michael Jordan of Madison. Her grandchildren are Will Roberts and his wife Erin, Sarah Roberts and Annie and Ashley Jordan. Beckie is also survived by one brother, Bill Kilpatrick and his wife Susan of Alexandria, Virginia, and her sister-in-law Robin Kilpatrick of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Otis Caperton and husband Ralph, Bessie Joy Wall and husband Robert Wall Sr., and Emma Haze Kilpatrick; her brothers, Pollard Kilpatrick and wife, Carol; and Dr. T.R. “Buster” Kilpatrick Jr.
Beckie has been a member of Madison United Methodist for 60 years and has served God faithfully. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Lamb, William Roberts, Michael Jordan, Will Roberts, Dickie Caperton and Zachary Madison.
