Marie Cohron Van Pelt, age 95, of Gurley, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born August 30, 1922 to Herbert and Roxve Cohron in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert A and Roxve Cohron; sons Jack Van Pelt and Jim Van Pelt; siblings Rudolph Cohron, Doris McMillian, Annie Laurie Melton, Alyne Canterberry, Bonnie Eddins and Adrain Cohron. Mrs. Van Pelt is survived by her daughter Judy Mason (Warren); youngest sister Barbara Herrington; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2 pm at Hampton Cove Funeral Home with Brother Ben Winslet officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
