Hard work has been a pillar of the Shoals from the days of agriculture, to the construction of Wilson Dam, to the advanced manufacturers that call the Shoals home today. We possess a capable, qualified, and dedicated workforce to rival any in the country. The Florence-Muscle Shoals MSA, known as the “Shoals”, is the only metro area in Northwest Alabama. Our 45-mile labor market features a total population of 624,000 with a labor force of 285,000. Our community is currently home to several international automotive suppliers, as well as many other advanced manufacturers. We know training and workforce development are paramount and the framework is in place to provide any new industry with the associates they need to be successful.
